Dear High School Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We are very excited to have you and your child as part of the CNE High School Family. We would like to send out a special welcome to the class of 2025! Our teachers and staff have been busy preparing all summer and we are looking forward to another amazing school year.
Last school year presented a number of challenges that our students and staff overcame with ease. We are hopeful that this school year will allow us to return to more “normal” operations and let our students have a more “traditional” high school experience, which includes dances, pep rallies, assemblies, etc. Several of the protocols we put in place last year to help stop the spread of COVID showed positive, non-health related, results. We will continue with:
- Allowing students to eat lunch in the cafeteria or the gym bleachers.
- One-way traffic patterns in the hallways. This reduced congestion in the hallways and helped students move between classes quickly.
- The restrooms will remain closed during class change unless it is an emergency. Teachers will allow students to use the restroom during class.
Additionally,
- We do have water bottle filling stations throughout the building. We encourage your child to bring a bottle from home to fill up throughout the day.
- Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.
- Classrooms will be sanitized nightly and the building will be sprayed monthly with GermStop which repels germs on surfaces for a month.

First Day of School
Tuesday, August 17th, classes start at 7:20a
Open House
The District-wide Open House will be Thursday, August 12th, 5p-6:30p. There will also be a school supply fair and cookout at the Monterey Baptist Church, 6p-7p.
Freshman Orientation

Schedules
Student schedules are available for pick-up each weekday, 7a-3p. Schedules are also available electronically through Progress Book.
