GUIDANCE

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS

Students considering enrolling in College Credit Plus classes in the 2023-2024 school year need to register for an information session. University of Cincinnati requires that students and parents attend this information session as the first step in the enrollment process.

The CCP Team at the University of Cincinnati will host a virtual information for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. They will provide an overview of the UC CCP program and discuss the application checklist items, eligibility requirements. If you are interested in pursuing CCP through another university, it is highly recommended you still attend the session through UC in order to hear information as this is a state program and much of the information is the same regardless of the college attended.

UC CCP Information link: https://www.uc.edu/aas/ccp/requirements.html

  • Visit the UC CCP website so that you and your student understand the admissions process for the program.

  • Review and complete the "CCP requirements" and return to the guidance office by 4/1

  • UC online applications due by 5/1

  • Send ACT scores to UC - code 3340

COLLEGE INFORMATION

Applying to college now? EARLY DECISION OR EARLY ACTION:

Early Decision is a binding agreement. which means that you will enroll in the school if they accept you. You may only have ONE early decision application active at one time. If your early decision school accepts you, you must withdraw other applications you have with other schools.

Early Action is not a binding agreement. This indicates to the college that you have researched them extensively and are applying early because you are very interested. They will likely get back to you before January. You will still have until the May 1st deadline to respond. Go to CollegeBoard.org. for more information.

TRANSCRIPT RELEASE

Please remember that you must submit a Transcript Release form once you have submitted your application to a college/university. You can pick up the form in the guidance office. Please remember to allow up to two weeks the counselor to complete their portion of the application, if applicable.
