Hello families!
We hope you are enjoying reading Just Mercy as much as we are. The staff are excited to share this thought provoking book with our students and families. As you make your way through the first few chapters we wanted to send along a couple questions for you to ponder with your students:

1. Who would you say is the center of this book: Bryan Stevenson or Walter McMillian?
2. Do you agree that the character of a nation is determined by how it treats the broken, the poor, the oppressed? Is this realistic?

As you talk about these questions, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the book so far - whether that be the answers to the questions or something you have thought of yourselves. If you would like to share, please do so at the link below so that we can share your anonymous thoughts with the rest of the school community.

Thank you for partnering with us in this new literacy initiative!
