Career Day

The Middle School Career Day is coming up on May 12! This Career Day aims to get our middle schoolers thinking about their future and what they need to be working on now in order to reach their goals. While we know dreams and goals change, Career Days like this expose students to different options and get them thinking about the potential for different career paths. Learning what it takes to prepare for different careers, even if their goals change, allows students to cultivate these skills for the future.

The Day will feature a community member who will bring students through the ins and outs of networking, and then students will have presentations by representatives from Live Oaks, Northern Kentucky University, UC Upward Bound, and the Military. After lunch, students will engage with these representatives and community members who have volunteered their time to talk with students about their specific careers and what students can start doing now to prepare them for their future goals. Additionally, students will work with their teachers on career interest inventories, Ohio Means Jobs, and EverFi.
