The Mercy Health Team at our CNE School Health Center is giving away a free book with every well child visit! The clinic was inspired by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, where registered children can receive a free book once a month from birth until age 5, regardless of household income.
The clinic feels that reading is a great way to promote a child’s curiosity, imagination, and overall health and well-being. Well visits are a great opportunity to discuss a child’s physical and mental health, so the clinic is excited to encourage the wellness of students in these aspects, as well as supporting their social-emotional learning.
Currently, the clinic is offering books for all age brackets and is hoping to get a wider variety as they seek out donation opportunities. The hope is to make this an on-going program that many children will benefit from.
For appointments at the clinic, please call 513-981-4170. The clinic is open from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday. The center is open even when the schools are closed, minus on holidays. Community members of all ages are also welcome.
